๐Ÿฝ๏ธ What Biryani Taught Me About Instructional Design

If the ADDIE model were a dish, it would be biryani.

Not the quick, rushed kind.

Iโ€™m talking about the real one. The kind thatโ€™s slow-cooked, rich in layers, full of flavor, and leaves you wanting more.

Just like a good learning experience should.

Let me explain:

๐Ÿ” A is for Analyze

Before you cook, you check. Who is eating? What do they like? Can they handle spice?

In learning design, this means understanding your audience, their needs, and learning goals.

๐Ÿง  D is for Design

You donโ€™t just toss things into a pot. You plan it allโ€”ingredients, timing, layering. This is like setting objectives and choosing the right teaching methods and tools.

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿณ D is for Develop

Time to prepare. Chop the onions, marinate the chicken, soak the rice.

In learning, this is where you create your contentโ€”videos, slides, activities, quizzes, and more.

๐Ÿ”ฅ I is for Implement

Now everything goes into the pot. The cooking begins.

This is the delivery part. The course or session is finally happening.

๐Ÿ“ˆ E is for Evaluate

How did it turn out? Was it too spicy? Not enough salt?

In learning, this is feedback time. What worked, what didnโ€™t, and what to do better next time.

So, the next time you think of learning design, think of biryani.

Good things take time, layers, love, and thought.

At Mind Mosaic, we create meaningful learning journeys.

We donโ€™t serve plain rice. We design biryani-level experiences that stay with your learners.
