Arundhati Kane
I have done my graduation in Developmental Counselling and my post-graduation in Human Development. My post-grad dissertation was on best teaching practices in disadvantaged schools. While working on my thesis, I got interested in how teachers use age-appropriate activities to introduce a concept to the students. It enabled me to develop an analytical approach towards curriculum development and effective implementation of the curriculum. I have been developing curriculum since 2006. I previously worked with Vibgyor High and then started my own independent consultancy service. I have created textbooks for Tata Class Edge, Oxford University Press (India), Shloka Infotech and an independent education consultancy in Bangalore. I have also developed content and lesson plans for CP Goenka Trust, Unnati Educare, Birla Edutech, Zee Interactive Learning Systems and Quadrum Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
Since e-learning is a developing medium of learning and teaching, I have worked on the CMS platform of Hurix System (Attano Corp), Core Education and Technologies Ltd and Tata Class Edge. I have also taught one semester at SNDT Women’s University, Juhu (Post-graduation course). While developing content for school boards like SSC, Karnataka Board, ICSE and CBSE, I also got the opportunity to work with NGOs like Magic Bus India (Childlink India Foundation, UK) on their Sport for Development Programme and Ahambhumika. Before venturing into curriculum development, I was a corporate trainer and have conducted soft-skill workshops for Canara Bank and HPCL through CETC India. I am currently an affiliated psychologist with United We Care, Soul Up and Resilience Works. To sum it up, I am responsible, hard-working and eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and approaches. I am able to work well both individually and as a part of a team.
